1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of CV Hero, operated by Ian Inc (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa. By creating an account or using CV Hero, you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
CV Hero is a web-based career tool that allows you to:
- Upload and analyse your CV
- Receive AI-powered CV rewrites and suggestions
- Generate cover letters, LinkedIn rewrites, and interview preparation materials
- Match your CV against job descriptions
- Download your CV in professional templates
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use CV Hero. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or older.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is false, misleading, or fraudulent
- Use CV Hero to create CVs for others on a commercial basis without our written consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform
- Use the service in any way that violates South African law
- Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise our systems
5. AI-Generated Content
CV Hero uses artificial intelligence powered by OpenAI to analyse and rewrite your CV. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
- You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before use
- We do not guarantee that AI-generated CVs will result in job interviews or employment
- You should never submit a CV without reading and verifying it yourself
6. Payments and Plans
CV Hero offers the following plans:

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are once-off payments unless otherwise stated.
7. Refunds
Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details. Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of payment to sales@cvhero.co.za.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We do not guarantee employment outcomes as a result of using CV Hero.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
